1 Nov 2007, 11am - I'll always remember this date & time coz it's when me & Rain finally got our new home at Sembawang. Although the flat will only be ready in 2010, we are glad that we can finally get our love nest. It was really a nerve-wrecking experience getting a new flat. I personally went to the site 3 times juz to get a feel of the place in the day & at night. I even conducted an 'interview' with one of the residents in the area... Haha. Then on the selection day itself, my darling almost gave me a fright when she couldn't get a cab to HDB Hub & our turn to select was coming soon!! Luckily Rain managed to arrive abt 10 mins to selection time & we went in to select our unit smoothly.

The HDB 'uncle' officer seemed very experienced & explained everything to us clearly, before we start signing lots of documents. After that we went to pay a deposit of $2000 & also had a tour of the HDB showflats. When everything was done, we juz couldn't believe it - we finally got a house!! After that, it was celebration time at the nearby Crystal Jade Restaurant & a KTV session to sing our hearts out!! It had been a tiring day but well worthed it. In the meantime, will start reading more interior design magazines & come up with ideas on how to renovate our future home soon. Stay tuned!
